This is Comet 24P/Schaumasse captured on the morning of Jan11th from my remote telescope in Texas. This is a time lapse showing motion over 4 hours. 24P is a periodic comet that orbits the Sun every 8 years. It’s currently 55 million miles from the Earth and will reach its closest point to the Sun on Jan 8th.
